The Parque Villa-Lobos Library completes seven years in this Sunday (12) and to celebrate it brings a special anniversary program with the centenary of the Week of Modern Art in 1922.
The opening will be done by the actors of Cia Articularte. The public will be able to see puppets from modernist shows Tarsila’s Cute Cuca and Portinari Pé de Moleque, which will show the style and use of colors by the artists of the Week of 22. There will be five interventions throughout the day, between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm.
In the outdoor area, there is the traditional Sunday in the Park, a space for outdoor storytelling. Actress Marina Bastos, accompanied by musicians Clarissa Angelo and Felipe Miyake, tell the poetry story of the boy Villa-Lobos, using popular songs set to music by the composer himself. Each presentation ends with the show Chorinhos by Heitor Villa-Lobos, from the group Villa do Choro. There will be five sessions, between 11am and 3pm.
For children aged 6 months to 4 years, the Lê no Ninho activity tries to create an emotional bond with reading since childhood. Using puppets, storytelling lasts 45 minutes and starts at 11:00.
In the workshop Cutting out the Week of 22, from 2 pm to 3:30 pm, plastic artist Silvio Alvarez uses the collage technique to travel back in time for the Week of Modern Art.
