Centemero, Bonifazi, De Vito
Stadio Roma, in the process of Centemero (Lega), Bonifazi (ex Pd, now Iv) and De Vito. The builder Parnasi was also indicted: alleged illegal financing of politics
The gup of Rome Annalisa Marzano has 13 people sent to trial in connection with illegal financing linked to the investigation into the Roma football stadium. Among these are also the deputy of the League, Giulio Centemero, the former treasurer of the Democratic Party and today a senator of Italia Viva, Francesco Bonifazi, and the former president of the Capitoline assembly Marcello De Vito (expelled from M5s and switched to Fi). It will go to trial also the builder Luca Parnasi accused of money and bribes to politics for years with the purpose of concessions in public procurement. The first hearing is set for December 21 in front of the eighth section.
In particular, in this line of investigation linked to the alleged financing to the parties that would be started by the Pentapigna company of Parnasi, Centemero is accused of illicit financing: under the investigators' lens there are 250 thousand euros paid between 2015 and 2016 in two tranches to the Più Voci association, chaired by the deputy of the Carroccio. In Centemero and Parnasi the prosecutor also disputes the crime of self-laundering for money transferred to Radio Padania. For the former treasurer of the Democratic Party, Bonifazi, the accusation is of illicit financing and issuing of invoices for non-existent transactions: prosecutors contest 150 thousand euros received by the Eyu Foundation, chaired at the time by Bonifazi. In the proceedings they formed themselves civil parties, among others, the Campidoglio and the Lazio Region.
