The initiative calls for a law in Finland that would prevent the introduction of a corona passport in the workplace. The explanatory memorandum to the initiative states, inter alia, that every citizen should have the right to work.

The Citizens’ Initiative, No Corona Passport to Workplaces, collected the required statements of support in about a week. The initiative is dated 7 November.

The citizens’ initiative against the Koronapass in the workplace is formally a proposal to start drafting a law. The initiative therefore does not include, for example, proposals for actual articles of law.

Citizens’ Initiative the explanatory memorandum states that the introduction of a corona passport in the workplace would exclude people from working life against their will. In addition, the rationale says a coroner passport in the workplace would drive some people to reluctantly take the vaccine.

The signatories want to preserve people’s own free will in matters concerning their health. According to the signatories, the workplace cannot and must not make an employee unequal because of the vaccine.

For the time being, a corona passport may be required in restaurants and public events in Finland if they are subject to restrictions imposed by the authority.

According to the latest information, the prime minister Sanna Marinin (sd) The government is considering extending the corona passport to jobs.
