Parking Free street parking ends in Espoo’s Matinkylä, Leppävaara and Tapiola

There are two payment areas. Charges are 1-2 euros per hour.

Espoo make street parking paid in Matinkylä, Leppävaara and Tapiola. The aim is to steer movement and traffic towards the climate goals set by the city. In addition, the purpose is to free up parking spaces for transactions, make it easier to find a parking space and speed up the circulation of parking spaces, the City of Espoo’s press release states.

In addition, the city intends to use the information gathered through parking as a tool for traffic planning.

There are two payment areas and the payment is valid on weekdays between 8 am and 8 pm and on Saturdays between 8 am and 6 pm. The fee depends on the area and is either one euro per hour or two euros per hour. The parking fee can be paid by mobile phone.

Electric cars are charged only half of the parking fee and shared cars can be parked for free.
