THE mobile bollards they are road devices, which can be activated and deactivated electronically, useful for controlling and limiting the access of cars in urban areas with limited traffic or in private areas: when used they are withdrawn below street level, taking the form of a normal manhole. Why is this clarification necessary? To better understand what went up against a police car from Leeds, in Great Britain, which was inadvertently parked above a “fake” manhole which actually hid a mobile bollard.
The policemen noticed the bankruptcy parking lot when it was too late: the mobile bollard was activated suddenly, lifting the front completely of the car. After hearing a loud bang, some passersby went to the scene and found themselves facing the scene: the police car, a Peugeot 308, with its nose completely raised. Clearly various damages were caused to the underside of the car: a spokesperson for the Leeds Police Department has already said that the car will be inspected immediately, and put back on the road as soon as all damage has been repaired. Battered from this parking lot was also one of the two mobile speakers that lifted the law enforcement 308, having failed to complete its extension.
