The former coach would lose in all 2nd round scenarios; current mayor would beat the federal deputy, according to the study
Survey Paraná Research released this Friday (4.Oct.2024) shows that the current mayor of São Paulo, Ricardo Nunes (MDB), is technically tied with the federal deputy Guilherme Boulos (Psol) and with the businessman Pablo Marcal (PRTB) in the dispute for mayor of São Paulo. Here’s the complete (PDF – 495 kB).
Here is the 1st stimulated scenario (when the names of the candidates are presented) of the 1st round:
- Ricardo Nunes (MDB) – 26.8%;
- Guilherme Boulos (Psol) – 26.0%;
- Pablo Marçal (PRTB) – 24.2%;
- Tabata Amaral (PSB) – 11.5%;
- José Luiz Datena (PSDB) – 3.5%;
- Marina Helena (New) – 1.7%;
- Bebeto Haddad (DC) – 0.2%;
- João Pimenta (PCO) – 0.1%;
- Ricardo Senese (UP) – 0.1%;
- Altino Prazeres (PSTU) – 0.0%;
- none/blank/null – 3.5%;
- don’t know/didn’t answer – 2.5%.
The research was carried out by Instituto Paraná Pesquisas from September 30 to October 3, 2024. 1,500 people aged 16 or over were interviewed in São Paulo (SP). The confidence interval is 95%. The margin of error is 2.6 percentage points, plus or minus. The survey is registered in the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) under number SP-09433/2024.
According to Paraná Pesquisas, the cost of the study was R$20,000. The amount was paid with own resources.
2nd round
The research also tested 2nd round scenarios. Here are the numbers:
Boulos
- Guilherme Boulos – 44.6%;
- Pablo Marcal – 38.2%;
- none/blank/null – 12.7%;
- don’t know/didn’t answer – 4.5%.
Nunes X Marçal:
- Ricardo Nunes – 53.1%;
- Pablo Marcal – 28.9%;
- none/blank/null – 13.5%;
- don’t know/didn’t answer – 4.6%.
Boulos X Nunes:
- Ricardo Nunes – 50.6%;
- Guilherme Boulos – 35.3%;
- white/null – 9.5%;
- don’t know/didn’t answer – 4.6%.
