Paleontology There could be three different species of Rex, Regina, or Imperator tyrants

The Tyrannosaurus rex we know was actually three species, according to a recent study. Other researchers are not convinced.

Tyrannosaurus Rex is the world’s most famous, if not the most famous dinosaur. The teropod, which weighs up to 14 tons, is one of the largest predators of all time. Its bite is estimated to have been the strongest in the world.

Recent research, however, suggests that what we think Tyrannosaurus rex however, there would actually have been three separate dinosaurs.

Journal of Evolutionary BiologyA published article concludes that there were three subspecies of tyrannosaurus by analyzing the tyrannosaurus found in different layers of the earth.

Tyrannosaurus rexin the new relatives were given names Tyrannosaurus Imperator and Tyrannosaurus Regina.

Research led by Jurassic Park, an independent dinosaur researcher who works as a dinosaur expert in films Gregory Paul.

“The result itself is not surprising,” says a team of researchers In an interview with The Guardian. Tyrannosaurs, more than a million years on Earth.

It is entirely to be expected that new subspecies will develop over such a long period of time.

Judging by the deposition of the soil from which the fossil finds studied were obtained, Tyrannosaurus Imperator could be an earlier species with a later Tyrannosaurus rex ousted. Slightly narrower Tyrannosaurus Regina would have lived side by side with them.

All researchers are not convinced of the new study.

Professor Thomas Carr from Carthage College in the United States Tyrannosaurus rexin fossil in a study published last year. There were 1,850 properties observed. Carr told The Guardian that in his own investigation he found no signs of the division of fossils into subspecies.
