Eleven civilians, including six women and four children, were injured when Indian forces fired on Pakistani territory. This was announced on Sunday, November 23rd, by the Pakistani Interdepartmental Public Relations Service (ISPR).
It is noted that the Indian army “went to a wanton violation of the ceasefire” along the line of control.
According to ISPR, civilians were fired on with rockets and heavy mortars during a wedding ceremony in the village of Jigjot.
The Pakistani side called the “deliberate attack” of the Indian army on civilians “an immoral and unprofessional act” violating the 2003 ceasefire agreement.
In late October, it was reported that an explosion had occurred at a seminary in the Pakistani city of Peshawar. As a result of the emergency, at least seven people died and about 70 were injured.
