He was also present at the inaugural conference of the Motor Valley Fest 2021 Horacio Pagani, the founder of the brand of the same name and rightly one of the world’s leading exponents of the super sports car sector. Pagani is famous for its uncompromising models, and in the future, also thanks to Horacio, it will not limit itself to producing cars to survive in an endothermic market destined to run out: it will also play a leading role with the so-called electrification.
In fact the next Pagani supercar, the long-awaited heir to the Huayra, is expected to arrive soon, probably as early as 2022. And it should also have an electrified version, so as to tickle different palates with a single course. The code name of the project should be C10, and it was started three years ago, in 2018. Absolutely nothing is known of what could come out of the sublime mind of the Pagan designers, but you can put your hand on fire in relation to a high power, remarkable performance in terms of acceleration, and a lightness typical of the brand’s cars.

The engines mounted by the next Pagani should still be linked to the AMG brand, with which the relationship has remained solid over the years: it will be necessary to understand if it will be the Germans who will supply or collaborate for the electrified version. With a model including a ‘battery’, various windows of opportunities open up, both in terms of weight distribution and in terms of the materials used to compensate for this very novelty. The indiscretions, however, are also counterbalanced by the awareness of the brand founder that one must not throw himself headlong into the electric without first having carefully focused on priorities, from infrastructures to the necessary technologies.
Horacio Pagani himself said in 2018: “We need light cars with excellent driveability. If you transfer this to an electric vehicle, you can get what we are looking for: an extremely light car that will likely be a reference for the electric of the future.“. The opening towards the batteries is there, even though Horacio would certainly prefer to wait a little longer. Now the extent of Pagani’s effort in this sense remains to be discovered.
