Tenerife already has its tenth new face. It is about Pablo Guido Larrea Gambara (Madrid, 1994) who arrives to reinforce the center of the field. With almost 100 matches in the Second Division, between Numancia and Ponferradina, the outlet has committed for the 21/22 season, with the option of one more season.
“I know the Heliodoro fans and I am eager to play alongside them,” said the footballer upon arrival at Los Rodeos airport. He immediately went to carry out the pertinent medical examinations and join the training sessions as soon as possible..
After starting with the Atlético de Madrid quarry, Larrea made the leap to Villarreal, where, among others, he coincided with Nahuel Leiva and Fran Sol. In both clubs he started as a pivot, although he also did it indoors, and as described by the Tenerife website, he is “generous in effort, effective with the ball, capable of setting up the game for his team and capable of commanding the necessary work in the engine room.”
In the summer of 2017, he made the leap to Soria, where he stayed for a season and a half, playing 34 games for the Numantine team. La Ponfe required his services while still in Second B in the middle of the 2018/19 season and collaborated with the promotion of the club to the Silver Division. There he accumulated 92 presences and two goals and from which he dissociated himself this past June.
Larrea comes to complete an area that at this start of the campaign has been punished for injuries. First Javi Alonso fell, who will be out for more than half a season, and in the first league match it was Aitor Sanz’s turn, although in his case it was not so serious, but he will be absent for several weeks. Ramis counted for the pivot position with Michel Herrero, Sergio González and the youth squad Félix Alonso.
With the arrival of the Madrilenian there are already ten reinforcements for this championship: Juan Soriano, Jérémy Mellot, José León, Sergio González himself, Michel, Álex Corredera, Elady Zorrilla, Rubén Díez and Enric Gallego.
