The accusation sounds unbelievable: A US astronaut from NASA is said to have drilled a hole in the international space station ISS. Out of lovesickness?
Moscow – Serious allegations against the American astronaut Serena Auñón-Chancellor. The Russian space agency Roskosmos claims to have drilled a hole about two millimeters in size in the Soyuz MS-09 ISS capsule. That led to a pressure drop in the space station.
The Russian space agency is now threatening to take legal action. But can that really be more than just propaganda? One thing is certain: Serena Auñón-Chancellor was on the ISS from June to December 2018, living there with the German astronaut Alexander Gerst and the Russian cosmonaut Sergej Prokopjew.
Astronaut is said to have drilled a hole in the ISS: unfortunate affair?
Russian media write that the US astronaut had an unfortunate affair with one of her fellow astronauts in space. With the act of sabotage she would have wanted to hasten her return to earth. Auñón-Chancellor is officially married to the scientist Jeff Chancellor.
