Genoa – For the third day at Orientazioni the visitors amounted to 45,000 physical and remote, the positive trend of the previous days is therefore confirmed. Great interest was registered among the online presences with connections from Puglia, Campania and Sicily, among others, and contacts recorded from Bolzano to Modica. Physical attendance at the Show reached a maximum of 5,000, as required by the regulations, with the virtual ones generated by clicks on the streaming links, which testified to the success of the event returned in attendance, is reported in a press release.
The meeting between General Figliuolo and the students sold out. The commissioner for the Covid emergency – 19 exalted the concept of React and praised the boys and girls for their commitment and their adherence to the vaccination campaign, as well as that of grandparents, enhancing the intergenerational pact to contain the pandemic. “Another very important day – commented the regional councilor for education Ilaria Cavo – which recorded a confirmation of the general attendance and flows in the individual conferences. In particular, the meeting with General Figliuolo was sold out, recognizing to young people the great ability to be responsible in this pandemic period. But the numbers presented by the Digital School project are a great sign because they demonstrate the great reactivity of the school with the pandemic: the teachers who join have more than doubled this year and they exceed 5 thousand “.
Blitz of a dozen “no Green pass” students in Orientations
In the evening, a dozen “no Green pass” students broke into the agora dedicated to the University to protest against the obligation of the green certificate to participate in the show and to attend lectures in the university. The episode took place shortly after 20.30, less than half an hour after the end of the event.
According to the reconstruction of the organizers, the young protesters may have entered through a fire door opened by someone inside the Cotton Warehouses. After unrolling the banner “Genoese students against the Green pass”, the demonstrators made a brief speech on the megaphone.
Interrupted by the security, they responded with some choruses, finished the speech and then disappeared without being recognized. The protest, we read in the well-known Telegram chat “Libera Piazza Genova” which gathers the opponents of the Green pass in the Ligurian capital and which has also published two videos of the blitz, is a “response to the violence of those who imposed the Green pass to access the Salone Orientazioni and related events. Hearing about the future and the right to study by those who daily humiliate and attack thousands of students is disgusting and cannot be accepted. A right is either everyone’s or it’s a privilege “.
