Dozens of people gathered on Saturday at the Feofania hospital in Kiev, where President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is undergoing treatment for coronavirus. Reported by REN TV.
The footage published by the TV channel shows that the audience is holding the flags of Ukraine, as well as some red and black flags used by members of the extremist group Right Sector, banned in Russia.
The participants are chanting “Get Zelia” and demand that the Ukrainian leader be impaled. The crowd threatens to organize a “new Maidan”, stating that “this time the president will not be able to escape.”
Zelensky was hospitalized on November 9 with coronavirus. A few days later, his spokeswoman said the president had mild symptoms.
On November 18, the second test for coronavirus, which the President of Ukraine passed, was again positive.
Ukraine on Saturday celebrates the Day of Dignity and Freedom for the seventh time. In 2013, on this day, mass protests began in the center of Kiev, culminating in a change of government. Zelensky, congratulating the Ukrainians, accused the leaders of the Maidan of using the revolution for their own purposes.
