The film “Oppenheimer” directed by Christopher Nolan received the Golden Globe award in the category “Best Drama Film”. The results of the 81st awards ceremony, which took place on January 7 in Los Angeles, were published on the official website awards.
In addition, the French film Anatomy of a Fall received a Golden Globe in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
In this category, the film competed with such works as Past Lives (USA), Fallen Leaves (Finland, Germany), I Am Captain (Italy, Belgium, France), Brotherhood of the Snow (Spain) and Area of Interest” (USA, UK and Poland).
The film was awarded another Golden Globe for best screenplay. The award for it was received by director Justine Trieu and screenwriter Arthur Arari.
In the category “Best Comedy/Musical” the award went to the film “The Unfortunate Poor” directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.
Earlier in the day, actors Emma Stone and Cillian Murphy, as well as Nolan, received Golden Globes for their directorial work.
Stone won the award for Best Actress in a Comedy/Musical for her role as Bella Baxter in The Lost and Lost. Cillian Murphy was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama for Oppenheimer. In turn, Nolan received an award in the “Best Director” category.
Margot Robbie (“Barbie”), Natalie Portman (“May, December”), Jennifer Lawrence (“No Offense”) and other stars also received awards.
