With the arrival of summer, road trips multiply, especially in the well-known exit operations, key dates that are used to take a break and travel. So far this summer an exit operation has already been carried out, the one corresponding to the weekend from July 2 to July 4.
This weekend the second exit operation occurs, It begins on Friday the 30th at around 3:00 p.m. and will end on Sunday, August 1. The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) estimates some 4.7 million trips during these days and Traffic will deploy a surveillance and control device, according to the portal MotorPassion.
Friday afternoon and Saturday morning will be the biggest congestion
According to the same portal, the greatest traffic congestion will occur in Friday afternoon and Saturday morning at the departures of large cities and highways that access coastal areas. Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha, Valencian Community, Murcia and Andalusia will collect around 65% of national displacements.

To avoid accidents and improve traffic, the DGT will establish reversible and additional lanes, paralyze road works, restrict the circulation of heavy vehicles and design alternative routes. In addition, between August 2 and 8, the agency will carry out a campaign of alcohol and drug control to further secure roads during the summer.
