Reliability it is one of the most prestigious elements for any model on the market. From this point of view, Opel has managed to stand out in the latest TUV 2022 Report, which rewards the long-term quality of the models on the market: three cars of the German car manufacturer that have been crowned, to be precise Astra, Karl and Grandland . Recall that for the formation of the rankings were made approx 9.6 million technical inspections, with 222 different car models tested between July 2020 and June 2021.
Starting with Opel Grandland, the SUV of the German car manufacturer obtained a placement in 11th position in the general classification of the 2-3 year old car segment, an excellent position considering that the cars subjected to inspections were 128: the average percentage of defects significant is around 4.7%, while in the case of Opel Grandland the TUV experts recorded only 2.6%. Moving on to Opel Karl, TUV technicians recorded a share of defects at the top, equal to only 2.4%, which assigns the German city car the prize of the best car in the category of cars of 2-3 years of age. Final comment on Opel Astra, which in the segment of 4-5 year old vehicles recorded a percentage of significant defects equal to only 5.3%, well below the average of the segment which is around 8%.
“The Opel models stand out with their exciting design and the presence of modern yet accessible technologies. They are also distinguished by a consistently high level of quality – said Andreas Marx, Opel manager for Germany – A feature that our customers can rely on, as the TÜV Report once again demonstrates. We want to keep our promise to build cars for our customers exciting, state-of-the-art and above all reliable“.
