The arrival on the road again is approaching Opel Astra. The German carmaker has opened orders for the new generation that will be available from 2022, announcing the fittings and prices for the Italian market. The price list will start from 24,500 euros and will go up to 42,300 for the top-of-the-range version. The available trim levels will be Edition, Elegance, Business Elegance, GS Line and Ultimate with three engines: the 1.2 petrol with 110 HP or 130 HP, 1.5 diesel with 130 HP or the 1.6 Hybrid with 180 HP. The 8-speed automatic transmission is also available for the Ultimate set-ups as an alternative to the 6-speed manual. The 8-speed AT is instead standard on all electrified versions.
The entry level is represented by the set-up Edition which includes the Safety Pack as standard. This includes some ADAS and driver assistance systems including lane keeping assistance, emergency braking, limiter and cruise control, speed limit recognition, intelligent speed adaptation. Also standard are the front, side and roof airbags, the leather-covered multifunction steering wheel, the keyless start and the 10 ″ touch display. The staging Elegance addition to what has already been described is the Active cruise control, the 17 “wheels (on the Edition they measure 16”), the LED ambient lights, the AGR driver’s seat, the navigator, the wi-fi hotspot, the USB port for infotainment and Dab radio. The declension Business Elegance also includes a heated steering wheel as standard. The sportiest GS Line it instead boasts a black roof, to which are added some distinctive elements that are also present on the sports versions of the other Opel models. Finally the Ultimate, is the most complete set-up in the range and includes 18 ″ wheels, Pixel Matrix LED headlights and the Intelli-Drive 1.0 system with Active cruise control Start & Stop. Orders are already open, with the sixth generation Opel Astra being offered in the sedan version only.
