The specific crime of ‘online fraud’, to combat computer crimes and guarantee greater security in the e-commerce sector. An amendment to the Cybersecurity Bill was approved which introduces this crime into our legislation.
The rule, proposed by Letizia Giorgianni (Fdi), provides for aggravating circumstances for those who commit crimes through sites and IT platforms, such as the “mandatory confiscation” of IT tools in the possession of the perpetrator of the scam (computers, mobile phones, tablets), and the seizure of assets owned by fraudsters, to be used to compensate victims of crimes.
