The redevelopment process of the Prefecture of Kumamoto it is progressing admirably. And how not to celebrate this rebirth of a land devastated by the earthquake if not with a beautiful statue of Nami entirely made of bronze?
This real work of art, coming from the universe of one piece, is the result of the project Kumamoto Revival Project which sees the collaboration between the government of the Kumamoto Prefecture and Shueisha, united in the reconstruction initiative following the terrible devastation of the 2016 earthquake that killed 273 people and injured 2809. Fortune has it that the father of one piece, Eiichiro Oda was born in Kumamoto and is doing everything to help his people and the nation.
The statue of Nami is the seventh in chronological order but it will not be the last: in fact, two new installations of Zoro at Central Park’s Ozu and of Nico Robin on the old campus of the Tokai University. The first to make an appearance was, of course, that of Luffy in 2018.
Without delay, we invite you to enjoy the photos of Nami in all its glory. Together with the mascot Kumamon dressed as Luffy.
