The last time it was played back in 2012. It starts from Cittadella, the finish is in Prato della Valle in Padua
Padua is ready to embrace “its” Giro del Veneto again. Wednesday is the day of the rebirth of the historic race last held in 2012 (victory of Oscar Gatto) and which has seen many champions triumph in the past, including Filippo Pozzato (in 2009), one of the promoters of the project “Ride The Dreamland ”, which has given birth to a Giro del Veneto that returns to be contested with a renewed route. It starts from Cittadella at 12.25 and will unfold in 168 km with 1650 meters of altitude: at the start, among others, the Olympians Elia Viviani and Simone Consonni, but also Matteo Trentin, Diego Ulissi and Davide Formolo.

The initial 50 km are flat, then the first roughness of the route arrives, Monte Berico. The double passage to Vo ‘Euganeo, which has become a symbol of the fight against Covid-19, is full of significance, and then proceeds to Carbonara and Rovolon. Then here is the demanding climb of Roccolo, the last roughness of the day. In the last 30 km the group will launch towards the final scheduled in Prato Della Valle where, in the afternoon, there will be a series of cycling initiatives dedicated to children.
