Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has targeted the state government, expressing anger at the incident of burning a young woman alive in Vaishali district of Bihar. He said that it is a crime to hide a woman even bigger than the crime of burning her alive. He tweeted a news published in a newspaper and asked whether the crime of the inhuman person is more dangerous or his who kept it hidden for electoral benefit?
A Muslim girl was burnt by kerosene in Rasulpur Habib village in Vaishali district. It is alleged that the 20-year-old woman was pressurized by two boys from the village to get married and burnt alive for refusing. Family members say that the administration kept the matter under control for fear of misrepresentation of the government in the elections. When the girl died in PMCH on Sunday, the family demanded justice by placing her dead body at Kargil Chowk in Patna. Then the matter came to the notice of the media.
Rahul Gandhi says that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been given the title of Good Governance Babu, but the reality is that his foundation has good governance. He said that the tendency of the government and administration to be more dangerous than the crime of the offender is that the curtain be put on it for electoral benefit.
