On Corriere Salute: what are community houses for healing

By 2026, the Community houses will be the new point of reference in the area for integrated health care with the social oneas required by the decree of the Ministry of Health of April which reforms the organization of proximity care.

They will arise one for every 40-50 thousand inhabitants and other satellites as needed. Doctors on the net

The general practitioners in the community house share the medical records of their clients on an IT platform in order to ensure visits, consultations and compilation of prescriptions at any time, even when the patient’s doctor is not on duty. Emilia Romagna and Tuscany are experimenting with the new model implementing the old Houses of Health. In that of Castelfranco Emilia (Ausl Modena) there are 5 permanent family doctors, from 7.30 to 19.30, from Monday to Friday. In that of Abbadia San Salvatore (pilot project of the South East Tuscany USL) 7, of which 3 once a week, and a pediatrician of free choice. But here at night and on weekends the continuity of assistance is not yet active (former medical guard), another requirement of the community house, present instead in the Modenese structure, or at Villa Marelli (Asst Niguarda) in Milan (Lombardy has already inaugurated about twenty of houses). A secretarial service manages appointments and bookings for examinations and hospital specialist visits by connecting to the Single Booking Center (Cup).
