The Ômicron variant of the new coronavirus made its first fatal victim in the United States, Harris County Public Health Service, Texas, reported on Monday (20). The man was between 50 and 60 years of age and was not vaccinated, according to information from ABC News.
Ômicron is already responsible for about 73% of coronavirus infections in the US, according to data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Among the measures are: the purchase of half a billion rapid tests (which will be delivered free of charge to the population that requests it) and the expansion of vaccination sites against Covid-19.
