“In this VIII edition of the OMaR award on the communication of rare diseases we had a surprise that came from the Presidency of the Republic who wanted to recognize the value of the initiative with a medal. The novelty introduced this year is the Connessioni award we wanted. to assign to those institutional representatives who during the last year have been able to achieve something concrete for rare patients. The next challenges will be the implementing decrees for the single text on rare diseases “. This was stated by Ilaria Ciancaleoni Bartoli, director of the Rare Diseases Observatory, on the occasion of the VIII edition of the OMaR Award on rare diseases which was held in Rome at the Ara Pacis.
