Tigres celebrated its 62nd anniversary on Monday, March 7. The club celebrated the date through its social networks and shared a video with “62 incomparable moments”, celebrating its triumphs and history in Mexican soccer. In the same way, different characters and organizations joined the celebration and congratulated the UANL as a whole for another anniversary.
Olympique de Marseille, through Twitter, congratulated Tigres for another year of existence. With the message “compas are loved” and an illustration with André Pierre Gignac and Florian Thauvin wearing the shirts of both clubs, the French team’s Spanish account celebrated the felines.
Carlos Salcedo, a Toronto FC player, congratulated the UANL team for its 62-year history and said he was happy to have been part of the club. The ‘Titan’ was part of the squad from 2019 until a few weeks ago, before signing for the Canadian team.
André Pierre Gignac, emblematic player and top scorer in the history of the university squad, also congratulated Tigres. “Happy 62nd anniversary, my Tigers. Here’s to many more years together. Thank you for coming into my life,” said the French striker.
Nahuel Guzmán, another of Tigres’ current relevant players, thanked the team for giving him the opportunity to be part of its history and greatness. ‘El Patón’ shared a series of postcards in which he is seen enjoying and celebrating with the fans.
