In the women’s bracket, Luisa Stefani and Laura Pigossi will face Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski (Luisa’s future partner in the second half of this year) and Sharon Fichman.
In the singles bracket, Thiago Monteiro takes on the German Jan-Lennard Struff in the first round. Whoever passes this game must face the star and multi-champion Novak Djokovic. João Menezes, gold medalist at the 2019 Pan American Games (Lima) will face Croatian Marin Cilic (number 38 in the world) in the first phase.
The games of the modality in Tokyo start next Friday (23), at 11:00 pm (Brasilia time).
