Finland will face Slovakia in the men’s hockey semi-finals. Biathlete Tero Seppälä competes in the joint start.

Friday the absolute treat of the Olympic day will be seen as early as 6.10 am when the Lions hunt for the final place in the Olympic hockey against Slovakia.

The final place would be the second in the history of hockey for Finland. The Lions have Olympic silver from Calgary in 1988 and Turin in 2006, but in Calgary the medals were decided in the final series.

In addition to the two silver medals, the Lion has Olympic bronze from Lillehammer in 1994, Nagano in 1998, Vancouver in 2014 and Sochi in 2014.

Biathlete Tero Seppälä is the only Finnish individual athlete on Friday. Seppälä will compete in the men’s start competition from 11 am.
