EAn acquaintance of an acquaintance who knew that I am a journalist wrote me an email. “My (non-)relationship life” was in the subject line. The 63-year-old lawyer wrote that he has been separated for six years and just can’t find a new wife anymore, despite being “an athletic guy”. He plays tennis, rides his bike, dances relatively well and goes hiking. He added: “I also enjoy going to the theater and cinema and am otherwise interested in culture. My measurements are 1.72 cm tall, I weigh 72 kilograms and I’m not exactly physically repulsive. “But the “women’s world” makes too high demands, so he has now stopped looking for a partner out of sheer frustration. He added that he had “beautiful to say the least . . . full of women”.
My curiosity was aroused, because in my circle of acquaintances I mainly hear from women in this age group who can no longer find a man. I published an article on this topic just two weeks ago right here. So I decide to now research a follow-up article about older men. And so I make an appointment with the man for a coffee.
