Officials in the federal health sector confirmed that the federal budget for the next year 2022 helps develop health services to reach the highest levels, and provide excellent health care to the citizens and residents of the country, noting that the budget’s interest in the health and education sectors and giving them priority, embodies the political leadership’s interest in providing a decent life.
And they said in statements to “Al-Ittihad”: “The approval of the Council of Ministers headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” the general budget of the Union 2022, foreseeing new horizons about the second fifty years of life. The State of the Union, and ensures the implementation of ambitious projects that enhance the position of the UAE in global competitiveness indicators.
They pointed out the role of this budget in continuing to develop government services to achieve global leadership, and also consolidate the country’s competitiveness with its gains and achievements made over the past decades, so that the UAE becomes among the best in the world, by moving towards effective and sustainable development in accordance with the aspirations of the UAE Centennial 2071.
Initially, Dr. Muhammad Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Health Services Corporation, said: “The federal health sector budget focuses on sustainable development in the health sector and the provision of distinguished services.”
He added: “The budget reflects the leadership’s keenness to raise the level of health care services in accordance with the highest international practices in their quality and sustainability, as they are among the most priority vital sectors, and we are keen to translate the government’s directions on the ground and implement them according to clear programs and frameworks.”
He pointed out that education and health are among the government’s priorities, and this is shown on various occasions, the latest of which is the federal government’s budget for the next year 2022, pointing out that the state’s leadership always confirms that the citizens and residents of the UAE receive great attention.
For his part, Dr. Youssef Al Serkal, Director General of the Emirates Foundation for Health Services, said that the budget of the Federation for the year 2022 aims to achieve more achievements in the field of raising living standards and providing a decent life for citizens and residents in the UAE, and reflects the national priorities of our wise leadership, which is focused on the social development sector. Especially the education and health sectors.
He stated that the allocated budget will have a role in promoting innovation and foreseeing the future, developing the infrastructure of health facilities, raising the efficiency of hospitals and health centers and providing them with the latest medical equipment and supplies.
He pointed out that the health sector comes among the most priority vital sectors and is based on the future vision of the state during the next fifty years, noting that the next year’s budget will include more integration of artificial intelligence in medical services, and a focus on public health, virtual clinics and “tele-medicine” services. ».
Al Serkal drew attention to the focus on developing health care services, operating medical facilities, and appointing qualified medical cadres, to ensure access to comprehensive and distinguished health care services for all citizens and residents.
For his part, Dr. Hussein Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection for the Public Health Sector, said: “The ministry’s plan focuses on many important files in the coming years, most notably the file of disease prevention and the ability to confront epidemics.”

Al Rand stressed that this budget comes to consolidate the directions of the wise leadership to achieve the sustainable development strategy, and to confirm the clarity of the vision of the UAE leadership and its correctness in launching more projects towards the future and the UAE Centennial 2071.
He described the approved budget for the health sector as “important and promising and contributes to achieving strategic goals” towards providing the best comprehensive and integrated health care services that exceed expectations for a happy society, developing health information systems, and building health quality and safety systems.
