Important news on Suning.com arriving directly from China. Zhang Jindong has officially stepped down as president of Suning.com and as a member of the strategic committee of the board of directors. The same Zhang Jindong has named his son Zhang Kangyang (Steven) as the chief executive officer candidate not independent. The corporate revolution was announced through Suning Tesco’s Chinese channels.
According to what has been learned from the official announcement, at the moment the interim president of Suning.com will be Ren Jun. It is a familiar face in the Inter milieu since he is already a member of the Nerazzurri board of directors. He will be the president of Suning during this transition period, until new elections.
The Board has officially appointed the same Zhang Jindong how honorary president which, however, as such, does not have the right to vote and duties within the board. At the same time the now former Suning.com number one has his son Steven Zhang suggested (current president of Inter) as a candidate for the role of non-independent CEO.
For Zhang Jindong himself – we read at the end of the press release – the heartfelt thanks from the entire board of directors for the important contributions to the development of the company.
