The rumors from Misano-2 have been confirmed: Francesco Guidotti will no longer be the KTM team manager in 2025. The news was confirmed today, at the end of the Indonesian GP, directly from the official channels of the Austrian manufacturer. The name of who will replace Guidotti starting from next season has not yet been revealed, even if the rumors of the last few days indicated Aki Ajo as the main favourite.
In his almost three seasons at the top of KTM, Guidotti achieved two victories and 12 podiumsto which must be added two further successes and 11 podiums in the Sprint races. Furthermore, in 2023 the Mattighofen manufacturer achieved the best placings in its history in the MotoGP standings, with Brad Binder finishing fourth in the championship and second place in the Constructors’ World Championship, behind Ducati.
“Big changes” ahead
Pit Beirerdirector of KTM Motorsports, said: “After three years with Francesco and many positive progress also in working methods, we are moving the team towards a different leadership approach. Making these changes is never an easy process and we can only warmly thank Francesco for what he has done. 2025 will bring some big changes to the entire program and we are laying the foundation to continue making progress”.
