KTM, Acosta promoted
It certainly can’t be said to be a surprise, but now the official announcement has also arrived: Pedro Acosta he will be a Factory KTM team rider starting next season. This was announced a few minutes ago by the Austrian company itself, which specified that the agreement is multi-year.

This is KTM’s social announcement on the Acosta promotion.
Acosta’s words
“It wasn’t easy to face the first MotoGP season with the results we’ve achieved so far. We’re on the right path. It was important for me to continue with KTM. It’s nice to continue: getting to wear orange is like coming home. The way they have pushed and improved themselves in the last few seasons is also what pushes me to stay for the next few years“, commented the pilot.
Guidotti’s words
“In racing you can never stand still or slow down, and Pedro’s story is rare to find. We can almost call him a generational talent for what he has achieved so far. It is clear that he is now one of the hottest names in MotoGP and for 2025 it will be interesting to see him and work with him more closely“, added Francesco Guidotti, Team Manager of the Factory team. “In this sport the standards are very high in many aspects: the bikes, the tyres, the equipment and the teams. So, standing out so quickly means something very special. I think we also have to give credit to his current team in the garage next door for giving Pedro the opportunity to show what he can do.”. And Acosta is proving it weekend after weekend, having already brought home two podiums in the grand prix.
Greeting, although the press release does not mention him, should be Jack Miller, whose contract with the factory team was expiring. This doesn’t mean that the former Ducati rider is abandoning the KTM universe, as Augusto Fernandez is also disappointing expectations, but certainly the situation linked to Marc Marquez could further change the Austrians’ plans.
