More than two-thirds of respondents find their work in the social and health sector meaningful.
88% of the respondents put a lot or a lot of effort into their work. According to the study, employees in the social services sector receive support for their well-being through effective co-operation and their superiors.
The data are based on a survey by the National Institute of Occupational Health about work, work communities and management. The personnel well-being survey is part of the follow-up survey of municipal and welfare personnel. A total of 13,250 employees participated in the survey conducted in 2021.
Working pressures However, according to the survey, jobs in the social services sector have increased. Work pressures were measured by questions about the unreasonableness of the workload or whether there was enough time to do the work. 44 per cent of respondents report work pressure, which is five percentage points more than in 2019.
According to a staff welfare survey, the number of those considering changing employers has risen to a higher level than before the corona.
In 2019, 47 per cent of respondents to the survey considered changing employer, compared to 54 per cent in 2021. Of the Sote occupational groups, nurses were highlighted, with 69 per cent saying they were considering changing employer.
