One search New York Times/Siena College released this Sunday (8.Sep.2024) shows Donald Trump (Republican Party) numerically ahead of Kamala Harris (Democratic Party) in the race for the presidency of the United States. The survey considers likely (registered) voters.
Trump appears with 48% of voting intentions before 46% of Kamala. In practice, there is a technical draweven with the Republican candidate showing a higher score. This is because the margin of error is 3 percentage points.
The nationwide survey was conducted from Tuesday (September 3) to Friday (September 6, 2024). 1,695 people were interviewed.
Thus, the survey repeats the previous research, published in July 2024.
According to the FiveThirtyEight’s research aggregator, the average voting intentions of North American candidates in the latest studies is 47.1% for Kamala and 44.3% for Trump.
BIDEN REPLACEMENT
Kamala Harris was confirmed on August 5, 2024, as the Democratic Party’s nominee for president. She will face former President Donald Trump in the November 5 election.
Since President Joe Biden (Democratic Party) withdrew from running for re-election on July 21, support for Kamala has grown exponentially.
COURSE OF THE USA
The survey also shows that 60% of respondents believe the United States is on the wrong path, while 28% believe the country is on the right track. Another 12% do not know or did not have an opinion.
In the previous survey, 61% said the US was on the wrong track and 28% thought the US was on the right track.
