An unfortunate event occurred in New York last Monday, October 24 when a man, during rush hour, died after being trapped by the doors of the subway.
According to authorities, the passenger, whose name and age are not known, ran across the platform to catch the southbound subway at the Columbus Circle station shortly before 5 pm Monday.
The man went to hold the door; however, in the congestion he did not notice when they were closed, much less that his clothes were trapped in them.
