Australian nutritionist Sara Di Lorenzo named several ways to lose weight without giving up alcohol. Her words leads 7 News.
According to Di Lorenzo, it is important to understand how many calories are in different alcoholic beverages. The most dangerous for the figure are cocktails and drinks containing sweet syrups and soda. For example, the doctor advises drinking gin and soda, rather than gin and tonic, because in the first option there are only 83 kilocalories, and in the second – 183.
The nutritionist recommends choosing not wine, but dry champagne, which contains about 77 calories in a glass. At the same time, tequila will be the most optimal choice for those who want to keep their figure – there are only 60 kilocalories in one glass of the drink. “Another drink that has become very popular lately is Aperol Syringe. Oddly enough, it is better to choose it than wine, because there are only 125 kilocalories in a glass, ”said Di Lorenzo. She added that no more than two or three alcoholic beverages should be consumed per day.
There should be at least four to five alcohol-free days a week, the doctor said. Pauses will allow the liver to “rest” and solve the problem of fluid retention in the body. “Take each alcoholic drink with a glass of water. This will help to avoid water retention the next day, which causes weight jumps, as well as prevent dehydration and headaches, ”she explained.
Di Lorenzo pays attention to the snacks that people choose when they drink alcohol. She advises avoiding fried and fatty high-carb foods and eating more protein and vegetables instead. The nutritionist explains his recommendation by the fact that while drinking alcohol, the metabolism slows down and, as a result, extra calories turn into extra pounds.
Earlier it was reported that the British dietitian Michael Mosley named some simple rules for controlling weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. According to him, it is necessary at least every half hour to be distracted from work and warm up for five minutes in order to maintain a figure.
