Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Khabib Nurmagomedov reacted to the defeat of the Irishman Conor McGregor with a knockout from the American Dustin Poirier. Post available in Twitter– Russian account.
“This is what happens after you leave the team that made you a champion and spar with children,” wrote 32-year-old Nurmagomedov after the main fight of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament in Abu Dhabi.
Earlier on January 24, McGregor lost to Poirier at UFC 257. The fight ended in the second round.
McGregor lost by knockout for the first time in his career. In total, he lost five times. In particular, in the fall of 2018, he lost to Nurmagomedov in a fight for the UFC lightweight champion belt.
McGregor became the UFC champion in two weight classes. The Irishman has 22 wins and five defeats.
