CDMX.- The Secretary of the Interior (Segob), Adam Augusto Lopezgo this Tuesday to the National Electoral Institute (INE) to hold a meeting with electoral advisers about the elections of the State of Mexico and Coahuila.
one day after Guadalupe Taddei protested as the new president of the INE, Adán Augusto will hold a meeting with her and the rest of the electoral advisors at noon, which takes place in an unprecedented way at the headquarters of the electoral body.
The meeting is expected to take place behind closed doors in the offices of the INE president, and the governors of the State of Mexico and Coahuila will also be present, Alfredo del Mazo and Miguel Riquelmeas well as the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), Rosa Icela Rodriguez.
Initially, Adán Augusto invited the INE directors to the Segob offices for the meeting, but by majority vote they refused to attendTherefore, it was decided that the meeting would take place at the electoral body’s facilities.
At the end of the closed-door meeting, officers and councilors could deliver a message to the media.
The meeting takes place after Guadalupe Taddei swore as president of the INE after the departure of Lorenzo Córdova, as well as Rita Bell López, Jorge Montaño Ventura and Arturo Castillo Lozawho assumed their positions as directors to begin their duties on April 4.
In turn, the same Monday the campaigns for the 2023 elections began, where the governments of the State of Mexico and Coahuila will be renewed on June 4.
