Australian Immigration Minister Alex Hawke made the decision to cancel Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic’s visa for the second time.

According to the newspaper ‘The Guardian’, the minister assured that he carefully analyzed the information provided by the authorities of the case and by the tennis player.

However, he stated that the Australian government is committed to protecting the borders of his country, especially in relation to the covid-19 pandemic, which is why the decision was made to cancel the tennis player’s visa.

Djokovic arrived in Melbourne on January 5 with a medical exemption that allowed him to play at the Australian Open without being vaccinated, although Customs authorities later canceled his visa and detained him until Monday’s court ruling in favor of the tennis player.
