Kim Jong-un called Vladimir Putin a “dear friend” in a congratulatory telegram
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un called Russian President Vladimir Putin his “dearest friend.” This was indicated in his congratulatory telegram on the occasion of the Russian President’s birthday, the agency reports. Reuters with reference to the Central Telegraph Agency (CTNA).
“Let me wish you a happy birthday here in Pyongyang, along with my friends, and raise a glass to your good health and even greater success in your work. Pyongyang will always be together with Moscow,” the telegram states. The letter sent to Putin was signed “To my dearest friend.”
Kim Jong-un also stressed that North Korea fully supports “the just cause of the Russian army and people.”
Earlier in Kyiv on the night of October 7, birthday congratulations addressed to Vladimir Putin appeared. The inscription “Happy Birthday, Vladimir Vladimirovich!” was projected onto the facades of at least three buildings in the center of the capital of Ukraine just after midnight.
