KCNA: DPRK tests new tactical missile with super-large warhead
The DPRK has successfully tested a new tactical ballistic missile, the Hwasong-11da-4.5, with a super-large warhead weighing 4.5 tons, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported. This is reported by TASS.
As journalists noted, the tests took place on Wednesday, September 18. “The essence of the test launch was to confirm the accuracy of hitting the target at a distance of up to 320 kilometers,” they emphasized.
In addition, specialists launched a high-power strategic cruise missile.
On June 26, the DPRK General Missile Department reported a successful test of separating and guiding the warheads of a multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle (MIRV) of a solid-fuel ballistic missile. During the test, the separated warheads were accurately guided to three specified coordinates.
