North Korean media confirmed on Friday (local date) that the regime launched its new Hwasong-17 intercontinental missile the day before and that the projectile reached flight heights never reached by its army.

“Launched from Pyongyang International Airport, (the missile) climbed to a maximum height of 6,248.5 km, flew 1,090 km in 4.052 seconds, and landed precisely at the planned location on the high seas of the East Korean Sea (name given to the Sea of ​​Japan). in both Koreas),” the North Korean news agency KCNA reported.
