Non-working days started in six regions of Russia on Monday, October 25. The local authorities have adopted the relevant decrees. The weekend will last until November 7 inclusive.
So, in the Voronezh region these days will suspend the work of retail facilities. Except for grocery stores, pharmacies and cell phone stores. The operation of entertainment and leisure facilities, as well as nightclubs is prohibited.
In the Kursk region, a self-isolation regime was introduced for people over 65 years old. Grocery stores, pharmacies and children’s points selling food, hygiene products and clothes for children will operate.
The Nizhny Novgorod region has banned mass events. Many organizations will suspend their activities, but with the preservation of salaries for employees. Backbone enterprises, grocery stores, pharmacy and medical organizations, social institutions and government agencies will continue their work. Sports centers and museums will be open, but with admission only by QR codes or multi-passes.
In the Novgorod region, catering establishments and all enterprises of the continuous cycle will continue their work. The occupancy rate of theaters and cinemas is no more than 50%. All the same using QR codes.
The Perm Territory has introduced QR codes for visiting shopping centers, cafes and restaurants, as well as self-isolation for unvaccinated elderly residents.
In the Samara region, they were allowed to visit shopping centers and markets, fitness centers and cultural and leisure facilities, but only by QR codes or certificates of the transferred coronavirus. The same rule applies to hotel check-in. Hospitals, pharmacies and the MFC will be open.
On October 24, it became known that the Russian government allowed the opening of theaters and museums during the non-working week from October 30 to November 7. In this case, the occupancy of the premises should be no more than 50%.
On the same day, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said that residents of Russia should make every effort to fight the coronavirus, including limiting contacts in order to “have a good New Year”.
Over the past day, 35,660 new cases of coronavirus were registered in Russia. The number of deaths due to infection was 1072, 22 784 people recovered.
Prior to that, on October 22, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that the situation with COVID-19 over the past week has become more complicated in 14 regions of Russia.
On the same day, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov noted that the rate of vaccination against coronavirus in the country is lower than in European states. According to him, this is due to the low consciousness of Russians.
On October 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the introduction of non-working days in the country from October 30 to November 7 with the preservation of wages. At the same time, the regions have the right, if necessary, to introduce non-working days from October 23 and extend them after November 7.
A large-scale vaccination campaign continues in the country. Citizens are vaccinated for free.
