“Less than 100,000 people not vaccinated between teachers, janitors and other figures of the school staff“: The estimate of Cisl School lowers the effective percentage of the No-vax in the school. The projection (which updates the current figure at 82% of people with at least one dose in this work category) comes a few hours after the deadline of the request made weeks ago by the Commissioner for Emergency, Francesco Figliuolo, who in a circular had asked the Regions to deliver the numbers of school staff not yet immunized by 20 August.
“Let’s wait what the numbers will be”, explains the school coordination secretary of the union, Maddalena Gissi, “But from today’s numbers we must certainly subtract the people healed by Covid, the fragile ones who cannot get the vaccine and the precarious ones who are not in the role “.
The official figures are not yet able to photograph reality because the list of teachers available to the Ministry of Education records only a part of the teachers and a good part of the prof vaccinated could have inevitably escaped the census: reason why the Emergency Commissioner he asked for clarification. Pending the “real” data, the Regions that seem further behind according to the latest report in this sector are Sicily (only 56.6% immunized or at least with first dose), Liguria (64.1), Sardinia (65.3%) e Calabria (68.6%).
The one about immunized it is the knot of a larger tangle, which has yet to be untied and which binds to the controls on the Green pass. On this front the doubts were expressed by theNational Association of Deans, which fears “the risk of long queues in front of schools at the teachers’ entrance time, which generally takes place a few minutes before the start of classes. The only way to simplify the procedures on the verification of the Green pass in institutions it would be to carry them out only on those who are not vaccinated.
We asked the ministry to be able to have an exchange with the Asl to know who i am not vaccinated and who are those who do not have the Green pass, but so far we have not received any answers “, complains the president of the PNA, Antonello Giannelli, who remains “awaiting the explanatory circular of the ministry”.
The main obstacle, from this point of view, would be dictated by the Privacy legislation, on which an ad hoc modification would be necessary and for which an appeal is made to the Guarantor. There remains the question of tampons. In the last few hours, the Ministry has made it known in a note that it will guarantee the diagnostic swabs “To school staff, engaged in activities in the presence and who are in conditions of fragility on the basis of appropriate medical certification”. The circular, as interpreted by the Uil, indicates that “the tests will be limited only to the frail”.
And the reaction of the general secretary of the Uil School and ‘clear: “with this circular sent to the schools the rules are changed and the merit of the agreement is betrayed. We are also ready to withdraw the signature” of the protocol, signed by the unions just four days ago. The CISL also hopes for a meeting on this “next week for clarification”.
