Niu MQi GT: the perfect electric scooter for the city

NIU, the world’s number one Smart eScooters brand, has introduced the MQi GT, a new model specifically designed for Europe, with performance, autonomy and technology without competition; and with a price of 3,399 euros in its two Standard versions (L1e and L3e). Although, until January 30, this model has a launch promotion with a discount of 400 euros, being offered for 2,999 euros. In May Extended version will be released (also in L1e and L3e variants).

The new NIU MQi GT has been specifically designed for Europe. It presents an improved driving position and a seat -18.2 cm longer than any other model of the brand- that allows two occupants to be comfortably accommodated. In addition, it has a hole for a small case under it. Another differential factor is its 14-inch wheels, which give it greater stability and a more efficient and safe dynamic behavior.

This model has two removable lithium batteries, which offer great autonomy, are safe and can also be charged anywhere. Located under the seat, 48V31Ah (Standard version) or 48V42Ah (Extended version), they allow you to offer ranges of 60-70 km or 80-90 km respectively (in L3e).

Batteries can be charged when connected to the vehicle, or can be extracted for charging at home or at the workplace. NIU has facilitated this operation with a unique system among its competitors, dividing the battery pack in two, weighing 11 kilos each, which facilitates its transport by not having to carry a single heavy package. The MQi GT comes standard with a fast charger that allows you to charge both batteries in a maximum of 4.5 hours; and a splitter that allows them to be recharged at the same time when they are out of the vehicle.

Another of the distinguishing features of NIU is the connectivity of its models. They can be managed directly from the mobile phone thanks to a free APP for its customers that offers information in real time: geolocation, vehicle status, charge level and available autonomy, anti-theft system with alarm and notifications, or access to the user manual. In addition, all NIU eScooters can update their software, thus achieving a renewed and improved product with each update, with OTA (Over The Air) technology.

NIU markets the MQi GT in five colors, gray, red, blue, white and black, which perfectly match the overall design of the motorcycle. The brand offers, as accessories for this model, a perimeter protector, footrest, rear grill and backrest; in addition to the trunk and smartphone holder.
