Nintendo like a bolt from the blue announced the brand new model of its hybrid console, OLED switch, which as rumored in the last few months will mount a 7 inch OLED panel.
Unlike the standard and Lite version of the gaming peripheral, the OLED display variant will be available at launch with i joy-con and the base in white or with the colors that characterized the very first edition, i.e. neon red / blue and black dock. It is not clear at the moment if it will soon be available in other colors.
Although the much talked about new Nintendo Switch (which we do not know if it is the infamous Pro or not) does not present any relevant novelties from an aesthetic point of view, the dock has been totally revolutionized to place the console on a flat platform, making it much more stable.
But the news does not end here. In addition to the introduction of a 7-inch OLED display (compared to 6.2 ″ of the previous model), the next-gen version of the gaming peripheral features a significantly improved audio sector and introduces a LAN port in the dock for stable online gaming sessions.
Nintendo Switch (OLED model) features a 7-inch OLED screen with a thinner bezel. The rich colors and high contrast of the screen ensure a satisfying gaming experience in portable and tabletop mode.
Watch your games come to life, whether you’re racing at full speed on a circuit or taking on enemies in furious combat.
Furthermore, unlike the standard version, the OLED variant of Nintendo Switch will be able to count on an internal memory (always expandable) 64 GB, compared to the 32 GB available in the previous model.
The price has also been confirmed. Along the lines of the previous version, Nintendo Switch OLED will be sold at a price of $ 349.99, although it is very likely that in our country it will be sold for around € 399.
We do not know if, in addition to some precautions on the aesthetic side and a new screen (wider and with thinner frames), the variant of the hybrid console della Grande N will also introduce improvements in games in terms of graphics and frame rate.
We inform you that all the standard Switch and Switch Lite accessories currently available on the market will also be compatible with the new version of the hybrid console of the Japanese giant.
Waiting to get your hands on the new flagship of the Kyoto house, we remind you that the Nintendo Switch OLED will debut on the shelves of our trusted stores next 8 October 2021.
