The exit of the Nintendo France account did not appeal to many users.
Sometimes even accounts Twitter of major companies slip on a banana peel by posting compromising images or videos. And today it is precisely the case of Nintendo France, who published (and immediately deleted) an image that aroused some indignation among users.
The screenshot was taken from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and shows Solid Snake staring at Samus’ rear in the Zero Suit costume. Other than that, the account accompanied the image with the eye emoji. The tweet was posted on the official account for a couple of hours before being removed. Despite the cancellation, several users of the social network had already taken screenshots to share this moment.
There are a few different assumptions about what happened: one is that a social media manager went a little off script and someone further up the chain eventually decided the tweet needed to be removed. Another hypothesis is that Nintendo France didn’t think the Solid Snake / Zero Suit Samus tweet would eventually become a problem. And finally, there is always the possibility that the account has been hacked.
