While we all wait for news about the successor to the switchNintendo has unexpectedly taken on the task of announcing new hardware today. However, this is not a console, but an alarm clock. That’s how it is, The Big N continues to venture into the world of health, and now wants us all to wake up on time.
The Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarm has been presented through a new video. This is a digital alarm clock, which will have an element of interactivity, which will make waking up early not so burdensome. The hardware is now available for Nintendo Switch Online users at My Nintendo Store in the United States and Canada for only $99.99.. The rest of those interested will be able to purchase this product at the beginning of 2025. This is the description of Alarmo:
“In the morning, you will experience immersive sounds and music from the scene you have chosen. Wake up to the sounds of the Mushroom Kingdom with Mario and his friends, start the day’s adventure with Link and Princess Zelda, or start fresh with the Inklings from Splatoon 3. And those are just some of the experiences you can wake up to!
That’s not all: you can also check logs to see how much you move while you sleep, set an hourly chime to your chosen title theme, and switch between Constant or Gentle modes for your morning alarm. In Steady mode, the alarm will gradually become louder the longer you stay in bed, while Soft mode offers a more constant intensity level. There’s also Button mode for a more traditional, tactile ‘press the snooze button’ wake-up experience. You can even use sleep sounds to relax with relaxing music and sounds at your set bedtime.”
Alarm has motion sensor technology, which allows you, for example, to snooze the alarm when you move, and stop it when you get out of bed. Likewise, you can choose from 35 scenes inspired by titles like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4 and Ring Fit Adventurewith an update of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons planned for the future.
The way Alarmo works is very simple. Before going to sleep you select a time to wake up and a topic of your choice. When the appointed time arrives, calm sounds will begin to increase little by little until you wake up. If you spend more time in bed than you should, the noise will get louder, until Bowser forces you to get up and turn off Alarm.
It is important to note that Alarmo is only compatible with twin or king size beds, so it will not work with a single. Likewise, Alarm should be placed facing the center of the bed, within arm’s reach and no more than eight inches above the sleeping person. Along with this, you can use button mode to get the best possible experience when there is another person in the same bed. Finally, Nintendo has made it clear that this hardware will not share private information to the Big N, so you can sleep peacefully.
Remember, Alarmo is now on sale for Nintendo Switch Online users for $99.99, and It will be available to the rest of those interested until the beginning of 2025. On related topics, Saudi Arabia invests in Nintendo again. Likewise, a new update comes to the Switch.
