With the launch of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II With just a few hours away, many have pointed out that this could very well be the studio’s last game, especially considering the closure of successful teams, such as Tango Gameworks. However, it seems that this concern should disappear, since Ninja Theory would already be working on its next game.
According to Windows Central journalist Jez Corden, Ninja Theory’s next big project has already been approved by Xbox, meaning the studio would stay alive for a couple more years. Although the details are not clear, it has been mentioned that this new title would not be Project Mara.
Project Mara has been a work by Ninja Theory that has already been talked about publicly. This is a horror experiment of which, unfortunately, we still do not know more details, but it is likely that this installment will be available before the new title. At the same time, the study has also focused on Project Insight, where the team “offers a widespread solution to help treat mental suffering and promote mental well-being.”
At the moment, more clear details about the future of Ninja Theory are unknown, but the team will remain standing, at least for the moment, as they work on Project Mara and the new title that was recently approved. We remind you that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC on May 21. On related topics, Ninja Theory defends the length of the game. Similarly, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 could come to PlayStation 5.
Author’s Note:
I hope Ninja Theory doesn’t close its doors in the future. The studio is extremely talented, and it appears they are the only ones exploring the way mental issues are managed and affect a person, all from an interactive perspective.
