The lawyer Vadim Nikulin, who defended the interests of Irina Sterkhova, the common-law wife of the courier Sergei Zakharov, who died in an accident with the participation of actor Mikhail Efremov, died. About this site kp.ru said lawyer Andrei Aleshkin, who also participated in this trial.
“I found out about it by chance: I called Vadim, my wife answered the phone. I had a bad feeling right away. My wife said a phrase that is now etched into my memory: “We went to bed together, and I woke up alone.” This is a terrible tragedy, and I do not have enough words to express all my sorrow, ”said Aleshkin.
He added that Nikulin was “an excellent family man and lawyer, madly in love with his work, very decent.” Alekshin expressed condolences to Nikulin’s wife, as well as Irina Sterkhova, who was her support in the trial.
According to preliminary data, Nikulin died of myocarditis. At the same time, relatives explained that the man never complained about his health and led an active lifestyle. Farewell will take place on Friday, at 14.00, in the morgue of the 70th Moscow hospital, and he will be buried in Saratov.
As the newspaper reminds, Vadim Nikulin twice tried to enter into the case of Mikhail Efremov: in the court of first instance and at the stage of appeal, but the courts did not recognize Sterkhova as a victim, since the official wife of the deceased courier Margarita Zakharova was involved in the case. Irina Sterkhova in Kazan filed a lawsuit to recognize her as a dependent of her civil husband, since they lived together for more than 20 years, and it was Sergey Zakharov who supported the family. In 2020, it became known about the application for divorce, which the official wife of the deceased filed two weeks before the accident. It indicated that she actually broke up with her husband back in 1994. The decision was to be rendered by a court in Ryazan.
Honored Artist of Russia Mikhail Efremov provoked a major accident on Smolenskaya Square in Moscow on June 8, 2020. His foreign car collided with a Lada car, the driver of which was hospitalized with serious injuries and died in the hospital the next day. The actor was sentenced to eight years in prison and a fine. Later, the Moscow City Court reduced the term to seven and a half years in prison.
